What’s going on here?
I’m currently working on re-orchestrating my existing piece, Unfamiliar Territory, for solo alto saxophone and full orchestra. The piece was originally conceived for alto saxophone and piano, and eventually morphed into versions for solo clarinet and wind ensemble and solo clarinet and piano. We are coming full-circle by bringing this piece back home to the saxophone. In particular, I’ve been working closely with saxophonist Preston Duncan to bring this new edition to life.
Can anybody join?
Of course. Whether you are a conductor or a saxophone player, you are welcome to join.
How much is it?
The cost to join this consortium is $500 (USD).
What’s in it for me?

Once the parts and score are finished, you will be notified via email where to download your PDF performance materials. This will likely occur in late 2024.
Can you tell me anything else about the piece?
The piece is about 10 minutes long and consists of three, short, separate movements: i. Local Spirits, ii. As Night Falls, iii. Shortcuts.
Who gets to premiere the piece?
To be determined.
How long do I have to join?
